I have successfully taught piano and voice in a private music studio setting for over 20 years. I hold a B.A. in Music and I am a credentialed teacher.

     The key to my success as a music teacher involves practical knowledge as well as intuition. (Part skill, part magic…) I have developed an approach to teaching the fundamentals of music in an understandable manner while meeting the needs of the individual student. My students range in age from 4 years to adult. Over the years I have cultivated and watched my students grow in their mastery and love for music, gaining experience playing in recitals and in performing groups in high school and college.

     In addition to my years of teaching privately, I have also taught as a music specialist in public and private schools. I have written music curriculum for schools, directed choirs, and performed professionally as a soloist and in vocal ensembles. I am a member of MTNA /Music Teachers National Association, MENC/National Association for Music Education and NATS/ National Association of Teachers of Singing.
